Delete your account
You can delete your Rate My Anime account from inside the app. It takes about fifteen seconds and it is permanent.
From the app
- Open Rate My Anime and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Tap the settings icon, top right.
- Scroll to Delete account.
- Confirm.
If you cannot sign in
Email bhuwanenoch@gmail.com from the address on the account and ask for it to be deleted. We may ask a question or two to confirm the account is yours before doing anything — otherwise anyone could delete anyone’s account by asking.
What gets deleted
- Your profile, avatar, banner and bio.
- Your library, scores and watch progress.
- Your reviews, posts, comments and polls.
- Your direct messages.
- Your follows, followers and blocks.
This happens within 30 days. Backups may hold data for up to 90 days before being purged. Anonymised analytics, which cannot be traced back to you, may be retained.
What deletion does not do
- It does not cancel a VIP subscription. Subscriptions live with Apple or Google and must be cancelled there, or they keep billing. See Support for how.
- It does not remove copies other people made — for example a screenshot of a post, or a message someone saved.
It cannot be undone
There is no recovery period and no way to restore a deleted account. Signing up again with the same email creates a new, empty account. If you only want a break, signing out costs nothing and keeps everything where it is.
